FAQ
Why does the competition spot change so frequently and how can I keep up to date with where it will be?
The reason behind this is Resilient Skim would like the competition to be held at the best spot for skim for the contest. This way riders can make the most of the waves, and spectators can see more of the true sport. The best way to keep up to date is to check the website often, or e-mail Aaron @ aaronfuj@hotmail.com your e-mail/phone number so he can give you a reminder the day before.
What tricks are the best for the competition?
There is no single trick that can score you the most points. If you want a general overview then check the points spreadsheet here. Be in mind that this is not law, and that usually judging will be based on the conditions, execution, landing, and more factors which cannot be predetermined.
Rules
Judging System
Each competitor will be placed into heats of 3-5, in which they have 10 minutes to make a total of 5 runs. They may go for as many waves as they choose, but only the top 5 scores will be taken. The rider has the option of going backside or frontside, but be noted that you must have at least 2 of each. Meaning that if you ride only backside (or only frontside) during the entire 10 minutes, you will only be scored on your best 3 waves. At the end of the heat, the two riders with the most points will advance, while the bottom 2 will sadly be left to judge and watch.
Every rider in the competition will (most likely) judge once (some may be asked to judge more). During each hit, 3-4 riders not skimming will be asked to judge the riders skimming. We will try to the best of our ability to make it unbiased, and so that people will only need to judge once.

Selecting your division
You may select one of two divisions, beginner or advanced. The division you select will not necessarily be the division you end up in. The way your division is in the first round of heats, each heat will be comprised of 2 competitors who selected beginner division, and 2 who selected advanced. As stated about, the winning 2 will advance to the Advanced bracket, while the bottom 2 will be placed in the Beginners bracket. This is made to avoid people signing up for a division that they shouldn't be in.
Beginner Division
For those who just started skimming to those who just started to land tricks (shuvits, turns, spins etc.). Prize will be relatively small compared to the advanced division.
Advanced Division
For those who have been able to do shuvits, re-entries, wraps, airs, etc. If you're bold, enter this division. May be harder, but prize is the highest.
Intermission
There will be small breaks every now and then between heats, so everyone can enjoy the beach, and this is a special case of that.
